As part of the Market Week celebration, Guru Dudu will be taking Silent Disco to a whole new level with his walking tour of the Adelaide Central Market. Everyone will wear headphones (supplied) and hear the commentary from Guru Dudu and the dance-mix of uplifting faves from the 70’s, 80’s & 90’s. Enjoy spontaneous Flash Mob dancing, Interpretative dancing, whilst touring the Market with lots of crazy improv to open the ‘laughter meridians’. Market tours have never been this much fun! The Guru recommends that all participants arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to ensure headsets can be distributed and that you should be as free as possible to move around, so please leave back packs, handbags, etc at home or at work.

As part of the Market Week celebrations, on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 September 10-11am, the Market will have its first ever HAPPY HOUR, where the whole Market will go on sale. When the clock strikes 11am – it’s on for young and old for one whole hour with SUPER SPECIALS at every stall. All participating stalls will have different items on special on Thursday and Friday, so chat to your favourite traders to find out what their daily super specials will be.
Lulu from Say Cheese will be demonstrating the art of mozzarella stretching on the Gouger St stage as part of Market Week! The process starts with cows milk curd which we make specifically for creating beautiful hand stretched balls of mozzarella. People can watch as Lulu works the curd and begin to layer and stretch it to form the lovely smooth, soft balls of fiore de latte and then try them while they are still warm and milky.

O’Connell Meats will be celebrating the start of Spring and Market Week with a sausage making demonstration. Using the season’s first Spring Lamb, Tony and his talented team will be showing you how they make the freshest Spring sausages in the Market. The barbie will be on too, so you can try before you buy.
Alycia Budd has become one of the most exciting new names on the Adelaide music scene. Mixing her own brand of melodic folk, blues and pop music, she has garnered much attention from different areas within the local scene.
Always having a love of the arts, Alycia studied music from an early age. After being classically trained in Violin, Alycia set her sights on conquering Vocals, Piano and later on, Guitar. Following on from High School, she studied music for 3 years majoring in Vocals. Now being a multi-skilled musician, she hopes to follow in the footsteps of her musical heroes such as Laura Marling, Holly Throsby, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
Marino Meats is joining in the Market Week celebrations with their famous Porchetta Party. After expertly slow roasting the Porchetta all day long, the Porchetta Party will kick off at Marino Meats from 5pm with a wine tasting from Oliver’s Taranga and accompanied by the musical stylings of piano accordian player, Maurice Paul.
