Thousands of school students visit the Adelaide Central Market each year, and it's the ideal place for people of all ages to learn about the range of foods on offer- fruit & vegetables, meats, cheese, gourmet, bread, and so much more!
Students have the opportunitity to experience one of South Australia's icons first hand, and learn about the Markets' history, culture, people and foods - the very essence of what makes the Market so unique.
To assist with your vist, we ask that you downlaod the below Education Pack, which will provide you with a range of information to get the best experience from your Market visit.
Please download and complete the School Visit Booking Form and return back to Central Market Management prior to your visit.
City Classroom
The Adelaide City Council Library and Community Centres incorporate library services, community services, customer services and leading edge IT resources. They also incorporate community spaces including a City Classroom that is available for bookings for class visits.
The City Classroom incorporates lockers, kitchenette, white-board and tables and chairs for 30 students.
It is conveniently located in Grote Street, adjacent to the Central Market.
