ABOUT RELAY FOR LIFE:
Relay for Life is the largest not-for-profit fundraising event in the world where teams participate in a 19 hour relay, incorporating a candlelight ceremony and ultimately raising money for important cancer research.
This year, between 31 March – 1st April 2012, Adelaide Relay For Life will be hosted at the Wayville Showgrounds, Wayville.
The carnival style event brings together survivors, carers and supporters in the fight against cancer, to raise much needed funds for cancer research, prevention and support services.
Relay For Life is always held throughout the night to symbolise that cancer never sleeps. Teams camp out and take turns in keeping a baton moving around the track over a 19 hour period, also enjoying live entertainment, activities and prizes.
Getting involved is easy! You simply nominate a captain and get 10-15 of your friends, family or work colleagues together to form a team.
To register your team for Adelaide Relay For Life log on to www.relayforlife.org.au or you can register at the Adelaide Central Market on Friday 3 Feb 2012.
